Lylia and Johee

Lylia and Johee

Fate did thread a needle of cruel tragedy in the making of Johee; creaturesque and dolten, yet not so far dulled to know the mercy of ignorance, and to instead be agonized by his everlasting yearning for the customs of common men, forever just beyond his grasp.

Johee lurches with uncanny metronome, his head swaying back and forth with each lumbering step. His right hand contorts into the pit of his arm, forming the likeness of a fowl’s wing. He is quick to enrage, and will oft roar when approached. He stands in stout form, yet within him coils strength surpassing expectation.

The magistrates of Johee’s township feared both Johee and their impotence to subdue him. Thus, a pact was struck with the sorceress Lylia, who wove a spell of subjugation upon Johee and claimed the role of his unbidden master. Johee dons an enduring ashen grimace, ill concealing his promise of treachery should his warden’s will wane.
