John the Twicedamned

Jon the Twicedamned

In an ancient age, a marauding spirit committed unspeakable sins and was condemned to oblivion. The spirit fled fugitive and was hunted through the aether until fate had bound it to its final bastion; a living vessel unfortunate in mere coincidence to bear the spirit’s same name.

The vessel, John, was born an innocent, but became the spirit’s unwitting and tormented host. Splinters of rage and sorrow are driven into his mind and a chorus of dark memories not his own rake at his every thought. He quakes and thrashes in a violent desperation to free himself of his ethereal companion, but never to avail, pained moans reverberate from deep within his bell. His skin has become blackened by the frigid winds of Death’s breath; the spectre patient for its prisoner. Through a deal sinister or holy, or by simple passage, John’s eternal soul will someday get its justly wrought rest.
